HEROES NIGHT - 8th Edition - June 3, 2010

On Thursday, June 3rd, 2010, the Farha Fondation paid homage to some of Quebec’s greatest heroes who through their passion and tireless efforts have helped to support the fight against HIV/AIDS. The Farha Foundation honoured a total of eight Quebecers and the broader community in an evening dedicated to their accomplishments. Nearly 300 guests gathered in celebration of HEROES NIGHT.

Appropriately deemed “soldiers of hope,” honourees were awarded with a one-of-a-kind work of art by Armand Vaillancourt, titled Spirale…Axis Mundi, created exclusively for the event.
 
Heroes Night recipients included: André Beaudry: Coordinator, BLITS Victoriaville; Sylvain Goulet: Volunteer, Buyers’ Club ACCM; Léo-Paul Myre: Chair of the Board, BRAS Outaouais; Martin Masson: President, MIELS-Québec; Viviane Namaste: Interim President, Simone de Beauvoir Institute of Concordia University; Ginette Tremblay: Case Manager, ACCM; Michel Turgeon: General Manager, Coalition SIDA des Sourds du Québec; Steve Maguire (Recipient of the Ron Farha Award): Volunteer at the Farha Foundation since it’s beginnings.
 
In addition to the honourees, special guests included Valérie Simard, Stéphane Demers and Ellen David as emcees and entertainment by Luc de Larochelière, Bet.e and Colin Moore.
